QUOTE:
TROUBLED SOUL Sometimes when the darkness falls I don't know where I'm going Sometimes when my conscience calls the pain wells up inside Sometimes when it's hot outside inside my heart it's snowing Sometimes life's an open road with no place left to hide So Help me Lord to find that Peace which passes understanding Help O Lord this lonely soul out on the open road Help me find your love tonight and give this pain an ending And help these weary shoulders hold up lifetime's heavy load Tonight I feel the emptiness in everyone around me Tonight I long for your caress to smooth the tears away Tonight I feel the loneliness as friends pass by without me Tonight I'm filled with nothing left to face tomorrow's day So Help me Lord to find that Peace which passes understanding Help O Lord this troubled soul out on the open road Help me find my love tonight and give this pain an ending And help these weary shoulders hold up lifetime's heavy load Suddenly the morning breaks, the sky is bright and sunny I've learned to live with my mistakes, to see the road ahead You've showed me how to love and pocket change instead of money You've breathed your life into a heart I'd given up for dead So thank you Lord for giving Peace that passes understanding Thank you Lord for showing me the light to find my way Thank you for the love that started out a new beginning And thank you Lord for this and every other brighter day. Oh thank you Lord for this and every other brighter day. New York City, July 1990 and London, April 1993
